* N.B. I intentionally used the relative damage rather than the lifting weight as the basis for 
my conversion: e.g., Marvel UN (100) = EX (20) x5 is the same as HERO 20 (4d6) x5 = (20d6). 
Hero is actually linear not exponential if one looks at damage instead of lifting weights, 
IMO, the damage is far more significant than the weight lifted.

ATTACK:  1/5 Rank value as DC.

DEFENCE: 1/2 Rank value as DEF. This is the same as having the maximum DEF equal x2.5 the DC 
as is suggested in the Champions rulebook (i.e., if you converted the 1/5 of the rank to DC 
first and then multiplied by 2.5).

This also works for numbers different than the defaults for the rank, i.e., MN-75 is the 
default, but the range is 63-87; so, e.g., MN-80 = 16d6 Attack or 40 DEF; e.g., AM-50 could 
also be AM-60 which would be 12d6 Attack or 30 DEF. In converting characters, feel free to 
move their exact rank number around within the rank category to get a round number in the 
HERO system. Also, you may well want to have the long-established Marvel characters use 
the top, or near to the top, rank number for their rank category to simulate their long 
experience and to more closely match the common Champions point values (like 12d6 and 30 DEF).

MARTIAL ARTS
------------

A: This form of martial arts concentrates on using an opponent's strength against him, and is 
typical of oriental-American forms such as judo and karate. The practinoer of this ype of 
martial arts can Stun or Slam an opponent regardless of their comparative Strengths and Endurance.

B: This form of martial arts is keyed on offense and inflicting damage in short, quick bursts, 
and includes such disciplines as boxing. The practioner of this form aof martial arts gains 
a +1 CS to Fighting ability when engaged in unarmed combat. [+1 CSL Unarmed Combat]

C: This form of martial arts concentrates on holds and escapes. The practitioner of this form 
gains a +1 CS to his Strength for Grappling attacks (including damage), a +1 CS to Strength 
for Escaping and a +1 CS to Agility for purposes of Dodging.

D: This meditative form of martial arts searches our th eweak spots of the opponent's defenses 
and strikes against them. The practionr of this form of attack may ignore the effects of Body 
Armor (though not force fields) for determining Stun and Slam results.

E: This form of martial arts encourages quick striking to catch the opponent off-guard. Heroes 
with this form of Martial Arts are at a +1 to initiative rolls in unarmed combat.

Wrestling: The hero with this talent is proficient in applying holds. It includes familiar 
types of wrestling as well as the sumo forms of the art. The hero with this talent gains a 
+2 CS when making grappling attacks, but gains no benefit in damage. (A hero with Martial 
Arts B and this talent gains a +3 CS to hit in a grappling attack, and a +1 CS for damage.)
